Peggy Connatser WharamPeggy Connatser Wharam, 78 of Dillwyn, passed away peacefully on Sept. 28. She was born June 12, 1946, a daughter of the late Curtis and Margarete Connatser.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, J.C. Wharam, and sister, Nyoka Worley.

Peggy is survived by a daughter, Monica Banton (Ray), two sons, Jason Wharam (Donna) and Justin Wharam (Christy); six grandchildren, Hunter Wharam (Heather), Brooke Wallen (Tyler), Sierra Wharam, Cody Banton, Leanna Barker (J.C.) and Stephanie Davis; seven great grandchildren, Clair, Brice, Mason, Jasper, Brantley, Willow and Cayden; one sister, Dixie Wood (Henry), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment to follow in Jones Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Family received friends on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckingham Firefighters Association or Hospice of the Piedmont.
