Marilyn Waski Reid

Marilyn Waski ReidMarilyn Waski Reid, 76 of Keysville, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Thursday, Oct. 31. She was born in Colorado on Nov. 27, 1947 to the late Albert and Eleanor Waski. She was married to her loving husband Charles “Charlie” Reid for many, many years.

Marilyn loved her family, the Denver Broncos, the University of Colorado Buffaloes and traveling with Charlie in his truck. Marilyn was known for her ability to make you laugh and her generous and unselfish nature. She loved getting to know people, always saying everyone had a story. She never met a stranger! Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, friends, people watching, and rooting the Broncos and Buffaloes to victory.

Marilyn is survived by four daughters, Carole Reid of Keysville, Jenny Reid of Byram, Mississippi, Catherine Reid (Jeremy) of Kenbridge and Jessica Abernathy (Kevin) of Kenbridge; seven grandchildren, Scottie Potter (Tina), Aimeé Cook (Travis), Megan Hughes (Robert), Danyelle Hughes, Conner Abernathy, Kristen Abernathy and Eli Reid; one great-grandchild, Valen Cook; four brothers, Brymer Waski, Michael Waski, Guy Waski and John Waski; one sister, Pamela Young.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Sonia K., her long time friend and home health nurse as well as the aides, family, and friends that helped take care of Mom and keep her at home where she wanted to be.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Reid. Marilyn requested no service.
