Elnora Lilly Hottinger Marion, 94 of Cumberland, passed away on March 11, at Berkshire Health and Rehab. She was born on April 26, 1930, in Louisa, to the late Charles Andrew Hottinger and Lilly Edith Battaile Hottinger. In addition to her parents Elnora was preceded in death by her Husband, Dewey William Marion; son, Charles Rex Marion; siblings, Robert Lee Hottinger, Charles (Charlie Boy) Hottinger, James Hottinger, Ruth Marion, Ida Redd and William Byrd Hottinger.
Elnora loved gardening and worked at B&M Greenhouse for over 30 years. She loved country music and to pick her guitar to a tune. Her door was always open and she would welcome you with a meal and a slice of Elvis Presley pound cake. She loved and enjoyed everyone she met.
Elnora is survived by her daughter, Joanie White (Steve); sister, Rosie Kerly; brother, Richard Gene Hottinger; grandchildren, Michael Marion, Melanie Spillman and Mark Spillman; great-grandchildren, Christopher Marion, Ashley Marion, Joseph Marion, Victoria Rumsey, Olivia Rumsey, Madison Rumsey, Grace Rumsey and Gabriel Rumsey.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 16, at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford Chapel 320 North Bridge Street, Bedford, Virginia 24523. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at noon, Monday, March 17, at Hill Crest Cemetery 175 Oak Leaf Dr, Louisa, Virginia 23093.
