Tigers lacrosse runs past Pacers, 25-9

Senior captain attackman John Burke had five goals and four assists, and sophomore attackman Jared Medwar had four goals and one assist to lead Hampden-Sydney College’s lacrosse team to a 25-9 non-conference victory against William Peace University on Saturday at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The victory improved the Tigers’ overall record on the season to 5-2.

Junior attackman Jack Hayden added four goals for Hampden-Sydney against the Pacers (3-3).

Others scoring for the Tigers included sophomore Harry D’Agostino, with two goals; freshman Max Koontz, with two goals; freshman Aidan Byrne, with one goal and one assist; freshman Sean Duffy, with one goal and one assist; and freshman Marshall Flagg, with two assists, among other scorers.
