Tigers lose two on the road

Hampden-Sydney College’s (H-SC) men’s basketball team fell to 4-8 on the season after going 0-2 last week.
The Tigers lost 65-49 to host Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) on Saturday and suffered a 95-59 road defeat Jan. 2 against Hood College.
Despite the loss to EMU, freshman guard Tyler Thomas, a former Fuqua School standout, came off the bench and shined, scoring a career-high nine points in nine minutes of play to lead the Tigers.
Leading H-SC in the loss to Hood was freshman forward Morgan McKay, who finished with 10 points, also adding eight rebounds.
The Tigers host Washington and Lee University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
