Seven Tigers earn 2018 VaSID All-State football honors

Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) had seven student-athletes receive 2018 Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID) College Division All-State football accolades, according to a Monday press release from H-SC Athletics.
The release noted that these honors included the Offensive Rookie of the Year award going to Kaleb Smith, a freshman running back for the Tigers who previously was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year.
VaSID all-state first team honors went to Tigers senior defensive lineman John Kline, senior safety Chad Vanlandingham and junior wide receiver Major Morgan, officials cited in the release. They added that second team accolades went to H-SC senior quarterback Alec Cobb, junior linebacker Griffin Davis and junior offensive lineman Andrew Grage.
