Tigers fall in 124th The Game
Tigers senior captain and wide receiver Major Morgan, pictured above, had game-highs of seven receptions and 118 yards receiving, but Hampden-Sydney College dropped a 45-3 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) football decision on the road at archrival Randolph-Macon College on Saturday afternoon in the 124th edition of The Game at Day Field in Ashland. The host Yellow Jackets (8-2, 7-1) got 218 yards passing and two touchdowns from Burke Estes, and 143 yards rushing from Tre Frederick against the visiting Tigers (1-9, 0-8). Morgan concludes his outstanding four-year career with 232 receptions for 3,084 yards and 26 touchdowns in 38 games. He ranks fourth in career receptions and career receiving yards, and fifth in career receiving touchdowns for the Tigers. Hampden-Sydney has completed the 2019 season with an overall record of 1-9.
