Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) freshman Alex Rubino has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Golfer of the Week for the period of Sept. 18-24, a H-SC Athletics press release highlighted. It is the second straight week that a Tiger has garnered the conference award.

Rubino led the Tigers’ B Golf Team to a 36-hole score of 616 (309-307) to finish fifth among 12 teams at the Ted Keller Memorial Tournament on Sept. 21-22 at the Dominion Golf Club in Glen Allen, the release stated. He posted a 75 and a 71 for a two-day score of 146 to finish in a tie for first individually among the 63 golfers for his second tournament win in five days. Rubino posted three birdies during his final-round 71, including a 30-foot putt on the 18th hole to force a playoff for medalist honors.
