James Steven Scott, 69 of Pamplin, passed away Dec. 17. Funeral service was held on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2 p.m., at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Appomattox. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville served the family.

Lydia Brown Haskins, 77 of Dillwyn, passed away Dec. 18. Funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 27, 1 p.m., at Fork Union Baptist Church, Buckingham. Interment was in the church cemetery. Reid’s Funeral Home of Dillwyn served the family.

Louis Lee Wright, 83 of Bronx, New York, passed away Dec. 15. Funeral service was held on Saturday, Dec. 28, noon, at the Chapel of Bland-Reid Funeral Home. Interment was in the Star of Hope Cemetery, Rice. Bland-Reid Funeral Home of Farmville served the family.
