Power restored to Dominion customers

Dominion reports power has been restored to over 1,500 customers across parts of Farmville and Prince Edward County as of approximately 7:50 p.m.
According to a Dominion spokeswoman, crews discovered a cross-arm on one of the power lines was broken. According to the spokeswoman, crews decided to turn the power off in order to fix it as waiting could cause more damage and many more outages in the area.
Football fans can rejoice as Dominion is not expecting anymore outages from the incident.
According to Dominion’s outage website, the outage area included south Farmville, Hampden Sydney, north Worsham and other areas in the south central part of Prince Edward.
Dominion lists the reason for the outage as “emergency work.”
