Bringing community together

Farmville Mayor David Whitus recently signed a proclamation to recognize the Prince Edward County Christmas Mother, which gives food, new clothing and toys over the holidays to people in need and to recognize Good Neighbor Day, taking place Sept. 19. Pictured are, from left, Cam Patterson, Kate Eggleston, Lauren Showalter, Whitus, Jenn Kinne, Sidney Allen of Rochette’s Florist, Carolyn Jones of Carters Flower Shop and Town Manager Gerry Spates. Not pictured is Christmas Mother Navona Hart. We anticipate these two events that bring the community together for important and needed causes.
