Neighborhood Watch honors Southall

The Tuggle Neighborhood Watch recognized former Sheriff Gene Southall, at their March meeting, for his dedicated service to the community. Southall started the Neighborhood Watch program during his tenure as Sheriff of Prince Edward County, back in the 1980’s. Southall was born and raised in the Tuggle community. The President of the Tuggle Neighborhood Watch, Silas Blanton, presented the award. Some of Southall’s family and friends were present to include the current Sheriff of Prince Edward County, Tony Epps.
