Unwrapping smiles

Representatives of the Piedmont Area Veterans Council (PAVC) and Centra Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) joined forces to wrap gifts given to senior citizens during PACE’s holiday parties held recently. Various organizations provided donations for the event, called “Christmas Love for Seniors.” PAVC hosted a gift-wrapping party prior to the “Christmas Love” event and transported gifts to the PACE facility in Farmville. Approximately 80 seniors attended the party over two days, enjoying gifts and the opportunity to meet Santa Claus. Pictured are from left, Veteran Douglas Randolph, PACE recreational therapist Elise Hemmer, Piedmont Area Veterans Council representative Polly Marsden and veteran Tom Hicks.
