Trump is not racist

Editor:

The left calls the president “racist” for trying to stop the flow of illegals into this country. Enforcing the law at the border is not racism but patriotism. The Customs and Border Protection agency has identified 75 nationalities in those trying to cross illegally. The president would be just as adamant if they all were caucasian. His concern is the cost of education, welfare, health care and law enforcement created by illegals and borne by the American taxpayer. It has nothing to do with skin color.

“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undocumented, unchecked and circumventing the line of people who are waiting legally … to become immigrants of this country.” Senator Barack Obama, 2005. No one cried racist.

“I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in.” Hillary Clinton 2015. No one cried racist.

The faux concern of the progressives for the detainees at the border is ludicrous. It was born when they realized the illegal aliens could potently become a voting block. Moral perspectives can flip in a moment if a political advantage is scented.

Defeating Hillary Clinton in 2016 was a pill too bitter for the democrats to swallow. Since then President Trump has been the subject of hate speech 24/7.

“Mr. President, you are no more racist than the tooth fairy; stick to your guns and we will stick with you.”
