Cumberland County High School senior Taina Smith was recently awarded the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Junior ROTC Bronze Star. She was recognized at the annual spring banquet of the Judith Randolph-Longwood Chapter on May 9 at The Woodland Community Center in Farmville. Smith will be attending Virginia Military Institute in Lexington.
