Hackett arrested for child sex

BUCKINGHAM — A 39-year-old Buckingham man was arrested Nov. 21 on charges in connection to child sexual assault. According to a Buckingham County

Sheriff’s Department arrest report, Michael Hackett was arrested on two charges of carnal knowledge of a child 13-14 years old, two charges of intercourse or sodomy by custodian, possess child pornography and produce or possess obscene material for sale.

“We had someone come forward with some information which kicked off the investigation and then subsequent to that investigation he was charged with the sexual misconduct there,” police said regarding Hackett’s arrest.

According to the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Department, as far as they know the misconduct is isolated to one victim.
