Wilbur A. Haver, 88, of Dillwyn passed peacefully on June 5, 2020. He was born February 29, 1932 in Jefferson, Pennsylvania, a son of the late William C. and Wanda M. Haver. He was the widower of Mary Anne Seay Haver.
Wilbur earned the Eagle Scout rank from the Boy Scouts of America, and was a lifelong Scouter.
He worked for Equitable Gas System as Operations Engineer in Finleyville, Pennsylvania and as Plant Superintendent in Langley, Kentucky and later in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Wilbur was a Co-owner of Seay & Haver Oil Company, Dillwyn.
Wilbur was a 32 degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge, Pittsburgh.
He served as a Master Mason for the Buckingham Lodge and Howardsville Lodge.
He was also a Past District Deputy Grand Master.
Wilbur is survived by his children, Sharon Barcalow, Donna Bullard, Nathan (Sue Ellen), and William Haver, his grandchildren, Kate Lawson (Justin), Sarah Barcalow, Carrie Bullard, Olivia Bullard, Ben Haver and Jessica Haver, and one great-grandchild, Ella Lawson.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents William C. and Wanda M. Haver, his brother, William Dale Haver, and his wife, Mary Anne Seay Haver.
Graveside memorial service will be held on June 20, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3551 Andersonville Road, Dillwyn, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 376 Dixie Hill Road, Dillwyn, VA 23936.
