CUMBERLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Circuit Courtroom at the Cumberland Courthouse in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204, which such hearing may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, and to consider the following item and taking actions in furtherance thereof:

Rezoning Request No. 13-01 – A rezoning request of approximately 29 acres of property currently zoned R-2, Rural Residential to B-1, Business. The property is designated as tax map parcel 45-A-11, which is located on the north side of Anderson Highway (Route 60), about one mile west of the Powhatan County line. The property is currently vacant forested land and if rezoned the applicant proposes to develop it for a wholesale bakery business and other commercial uses. The property is within Election District 2.

Copies of the complete text of the above rezoning proposal and associated plan are available for public review at the office of the Cumberland County Planning Department, County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm of each business day. The public is invited to attend this hearing at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
