NORTH CAROLINA, June 6 – Walter “Frank” Wright Sr., 85, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. He was born on February 8, 1928 in Farmville to the late Jack and Sarah Wood Wright. He was a retired mechanic after 40 years of service.

He is survived by his children, Barbara Duncan and husband, Bryant, Francis Lee Covington, Patricia Dedrick and husband, Dennis, Walter Wright Jr., David Wright, Gary Wright and wife, Rose, Scott Wright, and Dustin Wright; sisters, Della Howell, Mary Francis Minnick, Peggy Fair, and Blanche James; brothers, Robert Wright and Charles “Wesley” Wright; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sis-ter, Sarah Sloan, and brothers, Joe Wright, Horace Wright, and Otis Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 7 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville, NC, with Joyce Miles officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
