MAY 30 – Edna Kathleen Jamerson Norman, 76, of Farmville, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 28, 2013.
Born in Buckingham to the late Robert M. and Berta Amos Jamerson, she grew up and graduated from Buckingham High School and married Guy W. Norman. She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years.
She was a devoted wife and mother whose life centered around her family especially her grandson, who was the star of her eyes, bee in her bonnet, and Papa's hunting buddy.
Mrs. Norman is survived by her husband of 56 years, Guy W. Norman; daughter, Angela McKay of Rice; grandson, Ryan McKay of Rice; brother; Reuben (Nellie) Jamerson; sister, Bessie J. Dowdy of Buckingham; and brother in law, Red Wooten.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Jamerson, and two sisters, Ruth J. Wooten and Cora J. Leber.
Family will receive friends (tonight) Thursday, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at Pisgah Baptist Church, Rice, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Farmville.
