Prince Edward County High School freshman infielder Makayla Booker was named to the Southside District's First Team Softball team in recent voting conducted by the league's coaches.

Madison Cabell, of Southampton, was named the Player of the Year, while Amanda Roberts, of Park View, was named the Pitcher of the Year. Cabell's coach, John Manning, was named the Coach of the Year.
