Farmville Armed Robbery Suspect Sought By Police

FARMVILLE – Police are asking for help in apprehending a suspect following an armed robbery late Sunday afternoon at the Pure Station located at 607 East Third Street.
Farmville police responded to the business at 5:37 p.m. on May 19, a department press release authorized by Chief Doug Moony stated, when the call was received from the business's attendant.
“The employee reported that the suspect entered during the heavy rainstorm that occurred yesterday, displayed a handgun and demanded money,” the police statement reports. “The suspect was last seen running on Vaughan Street towards Longwood Avenue.”
The police department describes the suspect as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a red hoodie and brown pants with a brown belt.
The Pure Station's attendant was not injured during the crime, the police press release states.
