The Cloverbud Summer 4-H camp will be held June 19-21. Campers will enjoy fun classes and activities, including campfires and swimming. The camp is limited to 60 boys and 60 girls. Sign up early to secure a spot. The camp is held at Holiday Lake 4-H Education Center. For more information, contact the Buckingham Extension Office at (434) 969-4261.
Buckingham Preschool is holding registration Friday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 4-6 p.m. and Friday, March 20 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Applicants must reside in Buckingham County and be 4 years old by Sept. 30. Your child must be present during registration. The child being registered must be present for registration for a brief screening during registration. Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate along with two proofs of residency (i.e.: utility bill, driver’s license, etc.) with matching addresses which must be a physical address; legal guardianship paperwork (if applicable); proof of income (W2 or IRS form 1040); physical examination report, which must be dated within 12 months of the first day of school; and immunization records which must be up to date.
The Buckingham Dillwyn Garden Club will hold its first 2020 meeting Monday, March 9 at 10 a.m. at the Buckingham County Arts Center. The meeting is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Tentative programs for the 2020 calendar year will be introduced.
The Buckingham County Republican Committee Mass Meeting will be held Tuesday, March 10 at the Buckingham Agriculture Center, 54 Administration Lane in Buckingham.
The purpose of the meeting is to elect or re-elect chairman, elect delegates for the Fifth District Congressional Convention, and elect delegates to Virginia State Convention.
