Two New Canton residents died at the scene of a single-car accident Saturday in Buckingham County.
According to a report from the Virginia State Police (VSP), a 1993 Cadillac Deville was traveling west when it ran off the right side of the road. The driver of the vehicle overcorrected. The vehicle then veered off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, Julian J. Rose, 30, of New Canton and his passenger, 20-year-old Siera K. Glover, also of New Canton, died at the scene.
Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a seatbelt.
