Claud W. Bryant, 96, of Amelia, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his home. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Maxey Bryant and a son, Gary Van Bryant. Claud is survived by his wife, Marlene Matthew Bryant; a son, Barty Wyatt Bryant (Anne) of Richmond; a granddaughter, Nicole Lacks; three grandsons, Matthew, Daniel and Joshua Bryant; and three great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a stepdaughter, Ruby Ann Harlon (Eddy) of Crewe; a step grandson, Christopher Pope; a step granddaughter, Ashley Brock; seven step great-grandchildren; “adopted” daughter, Sharon Stanley (Tim) of Florida; and an “adopted” grandson, Joey Taylor (Jessica) of Chesterfield.
Claud loved working his farm, loved his family, and was a retired mechanic for Hammock & Rand Motors of Blackstone. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, Blackstone, and also where funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020. Interment followed in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nottoway Co. Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 453,
