May 9 – Happy Birthday wishes go out this week to Cheyenne Marion, of Cumberland, Joyce Smith, of Phenix, and Blake Waycaster, of Dillwyn, all celebrating on Friday, May 10; Winnie Brown, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Sunday, May 12; Charlie (John Boy) Yates, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Tuesday, May 14, and Lilly Pearl Norman, of Farmville, and Patsy Miles, of Cumberland, celebrating on Wednesday, May 15.

Sympathy is extended to the Bryan Family of Cumberland. Andrew N. Bryan, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7 at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Cumberland. He will be greatly missed by all.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those that are sick and shut-in. Sympathy is extended to the Dowdy family of Cumberland. Grace Lucille Harris Dowdy, 88 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9 at Fitzgerald Baptist Church in Cumberland. She will be greatly missed by all.
