Hampden-Sydney Theater’s mainstage productions return with Endgame by Samuel Beckett.
Productions will be held on Feb. 20–21 and 27–28 in Johns Auditorium.
All performances begin at 8 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
Directed by Associate Professor of Theater, Matthew Dubroff, Endgame explores living, dying, everything, and nothing.
Ever the absurdist, Beckett draws parallels to the game of chess as his characters play out their final days, each moving closer to their own endgame.
Following the success of Waiting for Godot, this play cemented Beckett’s place as one of history’s most successful playwrights.
