The Brew House restaurant, located at 201 N. Main St. in Farmville, experienced a break-in between the hours of 10 p.m. Jan. 22 and 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan 23.

Farmville Chief of Police A.Q. “Andy” Ellington said the restaurant was ransacked. An investigation is underway. 

A post on The Brew House’s Facebook page Thursday afternoon said the restaurant will be open during regular hours. 

The restaurant, a fairly recent addition to Main Street, describes itself as an American gastropub.

“Last night’s break in won’t stop The Brew Crew!” the restaurant’s social media post read. “The Brew House in Farmville was subject to a break in and substantial damage to our restaurant last night in an attempt to prevent us from opening today. The suspects are considered to have close inner knowledge of the restaurant as they obtained a key from our lock box that only employees have access to.”
