Patriot Day Schedule Announced

Cumberland Patriot Day is this Saturday, April 20. Stop by and enjoy a day of family fun, food and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no charge for admittance.
There will be vendors both inside and outside and there will be plenty of food.
Opening Ceremonies will be held at the Courthouse Complex at 10 a.m. There will be a musical performance by Cumberland High School Band, the National Anthem sung by Jeffrey Scales, JROTC Presentation of Colors and “The First Call for Independence” will be re-enacted by Bruce Speas.
The parade will begin directly after opening ceremonies, at approximately 10:45, leading everyone to the Cumberland High/Middle School on Route 60.
Indoor stage activities will include: 11 a.m., Ashley Russell, Hula Hoop Girl; 11:30 a.m., Longwood Belly Dancers; 12 p.m., Blue Heat Dance Team; 12:30 p.m., F.I.E.R.C.E Dance Team.
Flashback Band will be featured on the outdoor stage from 11:30 – 3:30p.m.
Other activities will include children's inflatables (slide, obstacle course, toddler bounce, children's bounce); a mechanical bull, an Orbitron and a rock climbing wall.
Earth Day presentations on renewable energy will be given, along with a plant sale to raise money for the community gardens.
A blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A “Meet & Greet” with the family of Carter Henry Harrison will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Middle School Gymnasium.
There will also be an Antique Car Show with trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.
