Martha Stokes Robertson Gehlhoff, 82, Allen, TX was born April 27, 1937 and passed away on October 21, 2019 with her devoted husband by her side at Belterra nursing home in McKinney, TX. Martha was born to Matthew Robertson, Sr. and Nelle Robertson in Farmville, VA. Martha attended Randolph Henry High School and was homecoming queen in her sophomore and senior year. Martha met her husband, Greg, in Pueblo, CO and they were married at Unity Village in Lee’s Summit on March 11, 1985.

After her husband completed graduate school, they moved to Manhattan, KS and opened Manhattan Chiropractic. Martha was instrumental in decorating the office and then filled the position as office manager. She went on to establish VicMar Ventures where she continued along her father’s footsteps (equine instead of bovine) by breeding, raising, training and showing her beloved cutting horses, several of which went to the Cutting Horse Futurity in Fort Worth, Texas. She will be remembered for her unconditional love of her family, her horses and her many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery in Farmville, VA. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dr. Gregory Gehlhoff, her brother Matthew Robertson, Jr., his spouse Rosalie, her daughter, Victoria LaBrada and her husband, Gabriel LaBrada, granddaughter, Michelle and two great grandchildren, Madden and Gabrielle, along with many other family members. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate, in Martha’s memory, to an animal rescue in your area. Online condolences can be sent to docg7949@gmail.com . Martha will be greatly missed as she was a special and unique southern lady.

Shorter Funeral Home is serving the family.
