HOV Festival Seeks Volunteers

It takes a whole village to put on a town festival and some of the most important participants are the volunteers.
The Heart of Virginia Festival is celebrating its 35th year, none of which could happen without the generous turnout of people of all ages willing to work in and around the crowds. This year's Festival will be on Saturday, May 4, and it's not too early to make plans to assist.
Beginning at 6 a.m. with the morning traffic and set-up and ending after the evening fireworks, there are many places that volunteers are needed. Volunteers are needed at the 10K run/5 mile walk, at the information desk, in areas around the various band stages, to name a few.
For more information, please contact Terri Atkins Wilson at 434-392-6181 Extension 22 or email her at volunteerhovf@gmail.com.
The Heart of Virginia Festival is an annual family-oriented celebration of the arts, crafts, culture and music in Virginia and is held every first Saturday in May in Farmville. If planning to attend, please remember to leave pets, skateboards, and bikes at home.
