Willie Marshall ‘Pete’ Agee

Willie Marshall “Pete” Agee of Buckingham passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019.
Born on July 7, 1948, Pete was preceded in death by his parents Willie Ford Agee and Florence “Virginia” Smith Agee.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Vernelle Ragland Agee. Pete also leaves behind a son, Keith Agee and daughter, Beth Gibson (Jeremy) as well as cherished grandchildren, Taylor Agee, Trevor Agee, Courtney Agee, Joshua Gibson, Abigail Gibson, and Daniel Gibson and great-grandson Bryson Wood. He is also survived by three sisters, Linda Starkey (Jim), Debra Goff (Lynn), and Carolyn Fitzgerald, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pete was a member of the Glenmore Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years, serving as a chief for over 47 years. Pete was an active member of Glenmore United Methodist Church, a car restoration enthusiast, and long-time business owner of Dillwyn Repair Service. Pete was a pillar of the community and will be greatly missed.
Family received friends at Dunkum Funeral Home in Dillwyn on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Glenmore United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m., with a graveside service following. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
