Rodger ‘Aaron’ Wilkerson

Rodger “Aaron” Wilkerson, 31, of Pamplin, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 29, 2019.
He was born at Lynchburg Baptist on September 19, 1987. He graduated from Fuqua School in 2006 and worked as an electrician for Wilkerson Electrical. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and baseball player, but most of all the proud father of two boys.
He is preceded in death by two grandfathers: Preston Vanderpool and Robert Trent Wilkerson.
He is survived by two sons: Grayson Aaron Wilkerson and Logan “Carter” Wilkerson; parents: Rodger Wilkerson and Katherine Wilkerson-Lewis and step-father Anthony Lewis; the love of his life: Ashley Wilkerson; two grandmothers: Margarett Wilkerson and Louise Witt; three uncles: Robert “Dwight” Wilkerson (Lisa), Pete “Rudy” Vanderpool (Barbara), and Brian Wilkerson; one aunt: Theresa “Sissy” Borum (Jeff); and many beloved cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at Puckett Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 4, from 6-8 p.m. and funeral services will be held at Puckett Funeral Home Thursday, September 5, at 2 p.m. with a graveside service immediately following at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gary Stoots will officiate the service. Pallbearers include: Scott Owen, Matthew Dickerson, Dusty Haislip, Ben Agee, Adam Corbin, Brandon Rust, Lucas Spake, and Andrew Walls. Honorary pallbearers: David Asal, Jake Clark, Shane Bailey, Bobby Newman, Brad Clements and Todd Buchanan.
A trust fund has been established at Benchmark Community Bank for his sons. Memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers.
