Maysville Baptist Church is holding a youth event, Water Works and Wonders, on Saturday, from 2-5 p.m. Join this children’s ministry for water games, Bible teaching, food and fellowship. Designed for children ages kindergarten through sixth grade. Participants must wear T-shirts, shorts, and either tennis or water shoes (no Crocs). If not, they will be unable to participate due to safety concerns. This is a free event and all are welcome. Maysville Baptist Church is located at 13329 W. James Anderson Highway, Buckingham.

Come and spend Labor Day evening at the Curdsville Community Center on Monday, at 6:30 p.m. The program will be presented by Dr. Daisy Hicks, superintendent of Buckingham County Public Schools. Dr. Hicks’ presentation will include information on school security. Bring friends and relatives and a side dish or dessert to share. Curdsville Community Center is located at 122 School Road on Rt. 633, directly off Route 15 N. at Curdsville.

Holiday Lake 4-H Center Program Virginia Hunter Skills Weekend is Sept. 6-8 for ages 11 – adult. Want to learn new hunting skills or hone the ones you have?
