Pattie Cooper-Jones has announced that she is seeking re-election to serve a fourth term on the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors. Cooper-Jones moved to Prince Edward County in August 1983 to accept a role at Parkview Gardens Apartments, where she has been employed for nearly 36 years.
“It’s been an honor to represent this district for three terms. We have made some progress in Prince Edward County, but it’s time to do more. My priorities are to support our schools to prepare the students for a global economy and to bring more jobs to this community.”
Over the past 12 years, Cooper-Jones has served as both chair and vice chair of the board of supervisors. She is also a certified supervisor, through the Virginia Association of Counties. All of Cooper-Jones’ children are graduates of Prince Edward County Public Schools. She is also a grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
Just recently, Cooper-Jones was selected to be a Christmas Parent along with Councilman A.D. “Chuckie” Reid. The duo will help raise funds for the Prince Edward Christmas Mother program.
