The Buckingham County Board of Supervisors has set a public hearing for Monday, Aug. 11, to address the possibility of implementing an ordinance related to parking.
The hearing is scheduled at 6 p.m. at the Peter Francisco Administrative Building, 13660 W. James Anderson Highway.
According to the public notice for the hearing, the ordinance would regulate parking, stopping and standing vehicles in Buckingham County and at county-owned or leased property. The ordinance would address general parking prohibitions, which deals with fire lanes, as well as parking regulations on county-owned property such as the administration building, the Gene Dixon Park, the future library and courthouse.
The ordinance would enforce unauthorized parking in areas designed for persons with disabilities.
