William F. “Buster” Martin. Sr. has announced his candidacy for District 1 in Buckingham County for the Board of Supervisors. Martin stands for “The Voice of the People.” He pledges to

keep his voters in his district informed of all the issues. Martin supports local small business growth and hopes to create job growth and economic development in the county. He pledges to work with the Buckingham County School Board to increase a better working relationship. He hopes to maintain the low tax rates and make government more efficient for the people it serves. He pledges to keep an open dialogue with local fire departments and sheriffs’ department.

Martin is the former owner of W. F. Martin Plumbing and Heating and attended UVA classes for Business Communications. He has been a resident of Buckingham County for over 35 years. He has served as President of the PTO for the Elementary School and was president of the Buckingham County Band Boosters. He looks forward to serving Buckingham County.
