Rachel ‘Lily’ Maxwell Amos

Rachel “Lily” Maxwell Amos, 84, a long time resident of Tuggle, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 17th of June 2019.
Rachel was born in Hixburg, Va. in 1934. She enjoyed cooking and serving others while working at Prince Edward Public Schools and The Hotel Weyanoke. She loved fishing and spending time with her family. She was a faithful, family oriented, hard working lady who always had a way of saying things to make you smile.
She is survived in death by her daughter Elizabeth Jane Flood of Tuggle, Va. and her son Bobby Joe Amos and wife Jennifer of Farmville, Va.; 5 grandchildren, Lily, DJ, Courtney, Johnna and her pride and joy Sammy.
She is preceded in death by late husbands Dave “DJ” Amos, Richard “Buster” Flood, her mother and father Benjamin and Rosalee Maxwell, her beloved brother Rev. Raymond Maxwell and several other siblings.
A memorial service will be held at Passion Community Church (PCC) Farmville Campus, 382 Fairgrounds Road, Farmville, Va. on Saturday June 22, 2019 at 2pm. Memorial Flowers can be sent to Passion Community Church.
