C.T. “Nicci” Edmondston was introduced as the new Administrator of Zoning and Economic/Community Planning for Buckingham County during the county’s board of supervisors meeting on Monday.
Edmondston started as Administrator of Zoning with Buckingham on June 1.
Edmondston was the former Assistant County Administrator and Finance Director for Cumberland County.
Edmondston, a Buckingham resident, ran for election as the Buckingham County Circuit Court Clerk in November 2018, placing third at 22.86 percent.
In March, Buckingham administration began the process of looking for a new zoning administrator and confirmed that Rebecca Cobb no longer worked for the county.
On Nov. 30, 2018, Cobb told Buckingham County administration that her husband accepted a job position with the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP), creating a potential conflict of interest as the county was examining the request by ACP for variance to the county’s floodplain.
Buckingham County Administrator Rebecca Carter started taking over the floodplain request after Cobb notified county administration.
Edmondston said her responsibilities in Buckingham would include assisting the county in economic growth opportunities, reviewing zoning applications and being vigilant of zoning ordinances.
