CVCS kindergarten graduation

Central Virginia Christian School (CVCS) held its 15th annual kindergarten graduation May 21. Concord Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School from June 2-6 from 6-8:30 p.m. Classes are geared for ages 4-11. Come and enjoy Bible time, recreation, and crafts all while learning more about God’s word. The church is located at the intersection of Francisco and Deer Run Roads at Sheppards.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. presents a Senior Fraud Awareness Seminar Saturday at 4 p.m. at The Moton Museum 900 Griffin Blvd., Farmville. This seminar is designed to inform senior citizens how to protect themselves from fraud and scams.
Buckingham Extension office is hosting Summer Sensation 4-H camp July 2-3 for ages 9-13+ from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Spend time in various activities, crafts, and plenty of fun and games. Bring a lunch and enjoy the fun. For more information call (434) 969-4261.
The National Garden Club has designated June 2-8 as National Garden Week. The Buckingham/ Dillwyn Garden Club will present a special program this year to celebrate National Garden Week. Members of the club will create interpretive floral arrangements of various gardening related library books from the Buckingham County Library. Four different floral arrangements will be on display at the library each week for the month of June. Come and see these beautiful garden displays.
The Curdsville Community Center will meet Monday, at 6:30 p.m. The program, styled as karaoke, will be presented by Allen Cooper and varied for the enjoyment of all. Everyone is welcome. Bring a covered dish or a favorite dessert. The Community Center is located at 122 School Road., on Rt. 633 just off U.S. Route 15 North.
Horsemanship I Camp is geared toward beginning and intermediate students, ages 7-16, and will be held at Sprouse’s Corner Ranch from June 17-21 and July 8-12 from 8 a.m. to noon. English and Western riding lessons will be taught by a CHA certified instructor. Lessons are formatted in a progressive manner emphasizing communication skills, body alignment and balance.
