Discussion with Bagley set
Published 12:32 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2019
Join the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA) and the Greenwood Library April 29 at 6 p.m. at the LCVA for discussion with Virginia folk artist Eldridge Bagley. Born in Richmond, Bagley was raised on a farm outside Kenbridge and graduated from Kenbridge High School. Bagley’s nostalgic and picturesque paintings capture his own experiences of growing up as a tobacco farmer in rural Southside Virginia. This talk will explore the evolution of his artistic practice in his own words.
Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public. There is no registration required.
