Roland Trent Walker, 73 Former Owner Of Walker's Diner Service is Saturday

March 18 – Roland Trent Walker, 73, of Farmville, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in Farmville. He was born September 11, 1936 in Nottoway County, the son of the late Jessie and Etta Walker.

Mr. Walker served his country in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of Walker's Diner on Main Street in Farmville for 26 years.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth J. Walker; sons, Stanley Walker and wife, Teresa of Fort Myers, FL and Randall Walker and wife, Camille of Sparta, TN; brothers, Sam, Larry, Jim, Jack and Ashford George; sister, Rebecca Mann; grandchildren, Bradley and Eric Walker, Kim Sauer, Logan Vickery, and Chloe Walker; and two great-grandchildren, Katie Dunn and Trenton Sauer.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.

Family will receive friends Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church or Prince Edward County Rescue Squad.
