Farmville Baptist Church celebrated McRae “Mc” Amos’ 27 years of faithful service as organist and accompanist for its sanctuary choir. To commemorate the occasion, the church commissioned David Schwoebel, Music Minister/Composer-in-Residence at Derbyshire Baptist Church in Richmond, to arrange a choral work based on the hymn, “A Charge to Keep I Have” by Charles Wesley. Sandy Yeatts, Choir Director, presented “Mc” with a framed copy of the first page of Schwoebel’s arrangement at the worship service on Sunday, Feb. 17.
