Tigers climb to No. 14 in NCAA Division III national rankings for golf

The Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) golf team has moved up to No. 14 in the latest Golfstat NCAA Division III Top 25, while also climbing up to No. 7 in the extremely strong South Region, according to a recent press release.
Officials stated in the release that additionally, five Tigers are now ranked highly among the national individual rankings, including junior standout Bruce Shober, who is ranked 14th in Division III (D-III) and fifth in the South Region with his 72.57 scoring average.
The release cited that other top H-SC golfers ranked nationally include freshman John Hatcher Ferguson (73.86), who is 72nd in D-III and 30th in the region; sophomore Allen Smith (74.86), who is 141st in D-III and 53rd in the region; senior Jamie Agnew (76.00), who is 145th in D-III and 46th in the region; along with junior Adam Hade (75.07), who is 169th in D-III and 69th in the region.
H-SC will compete next in the 54-hole Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational on Friday-Sunday in Georgia.
