Kennedy Barbour won first place in the art contest for Buckingham County Public Schools (BCPS) and second place in the 2018 Virginia School Board Association Central Spring Regional Forum Art Contest. She is an outstanding BCPS student. Kennedy is the daughter of Roger Barbour and Hope Patterson, of Dillwyn, and the grandchild of the late Lillian Patterson. She received this award as an eighth-grader and was recognized at the April 2018 school board meeting. Pictured are, from left, Patterson, Kennedy and Roger.
