A federal court in Roanoke ruled that Pablo Rodriguez-Orellana, of Farmville, would begin the process of deportation after facing convictions of having illegally re-entered the U.S.
The sentencing for the case US v. Pablo Rodriguez-Orellana was determined at the United States District Court for the Western District in Roanoke Wednesday afternoon.
Brian McGinn with the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Virginia said that Rodriguez-Orellana was convicted of illegally re-entering the United States after being previously deported.
“In this case, Pablo Rodriguez-Orellana, a citizen of El Salvador, was deported in September 2007 and was recently found to have illegally re-entered the United States,” McGinn said.
“He was taken into custody on Oct. 27, 2018,” McGinn said. “Following the hearing, the defendant was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service on an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement detainer to begin the process of deportation.”
Rodriguez-Orellana’s address is in Farmville, according to documentation provided by the Western District of Virginia office.
McGinn said he saw no documentation that indicated that Rodriguez-Orellana was held at the Immigration Center for America facility at 508 Waterworks Road in the Town of Farmville.
