Twin Lakes State Park announces the following free winter programs:

Jan. 26, 2 p.m., “It's a Christmas Tree Sinking Party!” – during January, Twin Lakes collects Christmas trees to sink into the lakes to provide shelter and habitat for local fish species through the remainder of the year; call for more info and to sign-up;

Feb. 9, 4 p.m. “Valentines for Soldiers” – handcraft some love to send to homebound troops in Virginia; with help from the Wounded Warriors Program these Valentines will be personally delivered to hospitals on bases throughout Virginia;

Feb. 17, 2 p.m., “Guided Hike” – bundle up for a winter scavenger hunt around Goodwin Lake.
