Odessa Pride, representing District 401 (Hampden) of the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors, has announced her bid for re-election in the November general election. Pride is completing her first term as supervisor.
Pride states that she has enjoyed serving on the board of supervisors the past three years and has been a resident of Prince Edward County for more than 40 years.
Her goal continues to embody the mission of the board of supervisors: to meet the needs of the constituents of Hampden District, providing leadership and assisting in policy development to accomplish effective change in economic development, education, taxes, and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) concerns.
One of Supervisor Pride’s greatest accomplishments is being a 2017 graduate of the Virginia’s Certified County Supervisors’ Program, created to provide VACo (Virginia Association of Counties) members more in-depth knowledge relevant to governance.
Into the Future with Pride is her campaign theme. Join Pride for a town hall meeting on Thursday, March 14, 6 p.m. at Crawley Forum at Hampden-Sydney College.
