BUCKINGHAM, January 17 – John Alan Amos, 47, of Buckingham, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his home. He was born April 13, 1965 in Farmville, the son of John Otis Amos and Mary Louise Crump Amos of Scottsville.

He is survived by his daughters, Caitlyn Marie Amos and Christyn Alexis Amos, both of Buckingham; sisters, Janet Anne Amos of Scottsville and Penny Melissa Amos of Crozet.

Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, is in charge of arrangements.
