The Prince Edward County High School Scholastic Bowl team recently ended its season with the team’s fifth consecutive trip to the Virginia 2A regional competition. The team’s regular season record was 9 wins and 3 losses in a season shortened by weather events. The team took second place to Randolph-Henry high school in the conference tournament to advance to regionals. The regional competition took place on Feb. 4 at Poquoson High School. While Maggie Walker Governor’s School dominated the competition, Prince Edward gave a good showing in their loss to Poquoson, and earned some redemption from the conference tournament by defeating Randolph-Henry 95-85 in their head to head match.
