JANUARY 8 – No words can possibly capture the magnitude and extent of this great woman's spirit. She was a light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Our precious mother, grandmother, sister and wonderful friend, Louise Phelps Mills, returned home peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2013.
Born November 10, 1918 in Andersonville to John and Aurelia Phelps; she married Lamartine Paul (Buck) Mills on August 29, 1936. She lived in Andersonville and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church all her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Bettye (Sam) Starnes; four grandchildren, Lisa Davis (Brad), Nathan Mills, Susan Starnes (Steve), and Joseph Starnes; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Claude and Wayne Phelps of Baltimore, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.P. (Buck) Mills, son, John Peter (Pete) Mills, grandson Mark Mills, sisters, Blanche, Nelle, Lois, and a brother, Cecil.
A memorial service will be held at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Andersonville at a later date.
McDougal Funeral Home, Utah, is in charge of arrangements.
